SERVICES
RK Resolution helps schools and organizations to respond to incidents of interpersonal harm
in ways that empower and assist those directly involved to reach resolutions that meet their needs.
Often those impacted by harassment or interpersonal violence look at their available options to respond and wish there was another way. Rachel facilitates restorative processes that seek to give voice to those involved, allow for accountability, and rebuild trust. Restorative justice offers a framework for responding to harm that emphasizes relationships and repair over retribution and shame.
Facilitation
As an experienced practitioner, Rachel appreciates the sensitivity and complexity of situations that arise within schools and communities when harmful incidents occur. Rachel communicates with parties and oversees resolution processes that hinge upon respect for all those involved. When appropriate and desired, she brings together an individual directly harmed with the person responsible, and may involve other affected community members. Rachel regularly facilitates restorative processes virtually and in-person that include those parties, as well as potential support persons, administrators, law enforcement, or community representatives. These processes often result in agreements framed by the goals of learning, repair, and reintegration.
Each educational or work environment has its own unique dynamics. Rachel brings an awareness of the impact of intersectionality, which helps her to work more effectively across diverse organizations and with people with marginalized identities. With respect to sexual harassment and misconduct, Rachel also brings an advanced knowledge of the compliance considerations at play for institutions of higher education.
Organizations often find it helpful to discuss whether a restorative justice process may be appropriate for a given circumstance and what the benefits may be of enlisting RK Resolution as a neutral third-party facilitator.
